Entropy generation is associated with thermodynamics irreversibility, which is important in all types of heat transfer processes. In this paper Reynolds number effect on local entropy generation due to steady twodimensional laminar forced convection flow past a horizontal plate was numerically investigated. The dimensionless governing equations in Cartesian coordinate were solved by an implicit finite–volume technique. The solutions were carried out for 1´10 5 – 4 ´ 10 5 , Pr=0.7 It was found that, the entropy generation increased with increasing Reynolds number.<\div>
