Fabrication and characterization of ABS–zeolite Y mixed matrix membranes for gas separationsدومین کنفرانس بین المللی زئولیت ایران
Mixed–matrix membranes (MMMs) are based on polymeric membranes filled with inorganic particles as a mean to improve their gas separation performance. In this study, Zeolite Y was synthesized and Mixed matrix membranes composed of zeolite Y dispersed in a ABS matrix were fabricated and characterized for gas separation performance. The gas permeabilities of helium, nitrogen, methane, and carbon dioxide were measured at room temperature and pressure was varied between 1 bar to 4 bar. The permeabilities of the gases tested increased but the ideal selectivities decreased compared to ABS. We can observe reduction of permeability with increasing the pressure in MMM.<\div>
