The aim of this paper is to present a practical procedure of generating hyperbolic shaped P–Y curves derived on the basis of the results of an extensive analysis of sixteen full–scale horizontal pile loading tests in a diversity of soil conditions (2 sandy sites, 3 clayey sites and 1 silty site). Test piles were well instrumented and P–Y curves were derived from the interpretation of bending moment distribution along the experimental piles. It was found the ratio of lateral reaction modulus to the pressuremeter modulus and the ratio of lateral soil resistance to the pressuremeter limit pressure were found varying as a power function of the lateral pile\soil stiffness. The predictive capabilities of the proposed P–Y curves were assessed by predicting the soil\pile response in full–scale tests and a very good agreement was found between the computed deflections and the measured ones.<\div>
