۱Investigation on the wear behavior of Cu\TiO2 Nano–composites Produced by Powder Metallurgy and internal oxidation

Electrical contacts should have good thermal and electrical conductivity and certain strength. The copper base nano–composites reinforced with fine TiO2 particles have almost identical electrical and thermal conductivity with copper; in addition, because of the dispersion of the fine TiO2 particles, Cu\TiO2 composite has more strength than pure Cu, which improves copper matrix strength through impeding dislocation movement. In this work, first Cu and Ti powders were mechanically alloyed for 60h under Argon atmosphere and then Cu2O powders were added as oxidant. The specimens, containing different amounts of TiO2 were produced by in–situ oxidation of Cu–Ti pre–alloyed powders. For compaction, at the first step powders pressed under 30MPa pressure at 400°C and then pressed at 400MPa in room temperature. The compact was then sintered at 800°C for 1h under argon atmosphere. Physical and mechanical properties such as density, specific electrical resistivity and hardness of the products were altered with amount of TiO2 in Cu matrix. Microstructure and composition of the specimens were studied before and after internal oxidation using SEM equipped with EDS analyzer.<\div>

۲Effect of thickness and heat treatment on the toughness of AISI 1045 and AISI 6150 sheet steels

Toughness is the combination of strength and flexibility, in the presence of elastic and plastic tensions. This quantity equals the surface area under the graph of stress–strain. Kahn standard sample is used for the comparison of toughness. The heat treatments of annealing and tempering were used for AISI 1045 samples; and annealing and austempering processes for AISA 6150 samples. To investigate the effect of thickness, 6 different thicknesses were used. In this study, the J parameter is used as a parameter to compare the toughness that is evaluated by the division of the surface area of Kahn sample F–X plot to its cross section<\div>

۳Evaluation of Mechanical Behaviors of Age–hardened A2024 and A6061 Aluminum Alloys

In this work, evaluation of mechanical behaviors of age–hardened A2024 and A6061 aluminum alloys are investigated. For this purpose after solution treatment of A2024 at 495◦C and A6061 at 529◦C in three different time and quenching in the water, the samples were aged at 190◦C and 170◦C, respectively, in different periods of time (1–10h). Precipitation stages during ageing were monitored by SEM micrograph of samples and evaluation of their mechanical properties such as hardness, yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, elongation and impact energy. Results reveal that by increasing ageing time, all sample’s mechanical properties were changed<\div>

۴Separation Recovery of Zinc, Cobalt, Manganese and Ferrous From hot filter press cake

This paper reports on the effect of different parameters on Co separation from hot filter press cake (HFC) of Cobalt from the national Iranian Lead and Zinc Company located in zanjan, Iran by two–step washing and leaching with H2SO4. Hot filter press cake (HFC), contains 27.48 wt % Zn, 14.71 wt % Mn, 2.1 wt % Co, and1.4 wt % Fe. Zinc was separated by water Washing and it was perceived that S\L ratio has not much to do withZinc recovery and zinc sulfate compositions were dissolved in less than 10 minutes. Co separation from HFCwas achieved by H2SO4 and it was observed that increasing in Temperature, dissolving time and sulfuric acidconcentration aids Co separation while on the other hand, pH increment and oxygen blowing influences defectively on Co solubility.<\div>
