This work was conducted study the oxidation of Alizarin S with H2O2 and using modifiedactivated carbon–immobilized Fe (XX) as catalyst in a batch system. The result of the study demonstrates the complete removal of the dye by oxidation. In this paper the effect of the key operating variables such as initial dye concentration, H2O2 amount, catalyst amount, pH and temperature were studied. The result showed that a suitable oxidation condition was selected as acidic pH, %30 H2O2, 0.1 g of catalyst and 0.001M Alizarin S. the oxidation of alizarin S is enhanced with the increasing temperature. These processes leading to the generation of highly oxidative species such as hydroxyl radical (OH•) which are capable of converting the pollutants into harmless chemical. The use of hydrogen peroxide shows some advantages such as the complete miscibility of H2O2 with water.<\div>
