Mathematical modeling of supercritical extraction of nimbin from neem seeds using supercritical carbon dioxide (with methanol as co–solvent) was performed in this study. At first by numerical solution technique, the external mass transfer coefficient was determined by fitting the theoretical extraction curve to experimental data, so a set of data which relate Sherwood number (Sh) with dimensionless groups; Reynolds number (Re), Schmidt number (Sc) and Grashof number (Gr). At the next step using methanol as co–solvent the
modified model of extractor was solved and successfully was validated with experimental data.<\div>

۲Analytic hierarchy process applied to SOx estimation control in a power plant station

This study presents application of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) optimization technique to select the optimum SOx estimation control strategies for power station boiler in Kuwait. In this case different alternatives based on technical, environmental, political and economical criteria and subcriteria have been studied. Comments from ? expert peoples have been collected to build weighing tables. By applying AHP procedure importing natural gas was found as the optimum choice of power plant fuel.<\div>

۳Reducing Gaseous Pollutants Emissions in a Network of Refinery Stacks Using Optimal Control Equipments

Air pollution is a major problem in the world and SO2, NOx, CO, TH and PM are the main air pollutants. Various rules have been made for air pollution control from previous decades, but no researches were extended about selecting control methods for oil refinery stacks network with considering cost and efficiency simultaneously. The goal of this project is to determine suitable control equipments for oil refinery stacks network with two objective function of cost and minimum acceptable pollutants concentration according to environmental standards on the ground and assigning only one controller for each stack. Multiple–cell model is used for modeling and genetic algorithm is used as optimizingmethod. So Tabriz oil refinery stacks network by cosidering máximum exit emmissions of each stack was optimized and the results show that pollutants concentration except total hydrocarbons has reached to their standard value and total capital cost is 27.63 million dollars but because Tabriz oil refinery has thermal incinerator so this cost decreases to 3.632 million dollars.<\div>
