۱Preparation of nylon–6\TiO2 nanofiber composite via electrospinning as a novel humidity sensor

In this study a nylon–6\TiO2 nanofiber composite was fabricated via electrospinning of nylon–6 and titanium dioxide nanopowders (average diameters of 21 nm) and found to be as a reliable, fast responding and low cost humidity sensor. Different percentages of nylon–6 and TiO2 were examined which demonstrated that the average diameters of resultant nanofibers altered from 80 to 115 nm. Electrospun nanocomposite mat was used as interdigital electrode membrane and the efficiency of the sensor resulted in a decrease in resistance by more than six orders of magnitude while the relative humidity (RH) was increased from 11% to 97%. It was also noticed that the resistance logarithm had linear behavior with exhibited excellent behavior in the whole humidity range and the logarithm of resistance decreased from 11 to 5 while increasing the humidity. Six super saturated salt solutions were used to make the fixed RH from 11 to 97% and the morphology of the nanofibers was studied by transition electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).<\div>
