Due to excessive consumption of nitrate fertilizer in agricultural and disposal of domestic wastewater effluent, the amount of nitrate in water resources was increased. When nitrogen containing compounds enter to water resources, they can lead to serious problems including eutrophication, destroyed water quality and potential hazards on human and animal health. The aim of this study was to investigate nitrate removal from aqueous solution by Nanofilter membrane. In this study, a commercial Nanofilter membrane in pilot scale was used and effective of different condition were surveyed such as initial concentration, flow rate and associated cation and anion. All test method in this study adapted from “Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater”. The result showed with increasing initial concentration of nitrate, flux crossing and association anion and cation, the nitrate removal efficiency declined. The highest nitrate removal efficiency was 85%. According to the finding, Nanofilter membrane recommended as an effective and reliable method to remove nitrate from aqueous solution.<\div>
