In this work the method of approximate input–output feedback linearization will be discussed. The idea is to neglect a part of the system dynamics so as to make the approximate system input–output feedback linearizable system. The neglected part is then considered as a perturbation. A linear controller is designed so as to account for the nonlinearities that have not been compensated for but simply ignored. Stability is analyzed using the vanishing perturbation theory.<\div>
