۱Application of artificial neural networks for modeling of The Lighvan river by using Water Quality Index

Many factors can affect water quality. The WQI is one of the most widely used of all existing water quality procedures. The information in calculating the WQI of lighvan river allowed us to take our tests results and make a scientific conclusion about the quality of the water. The WQI of lighvan river consists of five tests: Fecal Coliform(F.C.), Biochemical Oxygen Demand(BOD5), Nitrates(NO3), Total Phosphate(PO4) and pH. After completing the five tests, the results are recorded and transferred to a weighting curve chart where a numerical value is obtained. For each test, the numerical value or Q–value is multiplied by a weighting factor. The proposed model based on artificial neural network (ANN) could predict the WQI of river lighvan. A comparison between the predicted results of the designed ANN model and experimental data was also conducted.<\div>

۲Comparision between TRAINLM and TRAINSCG Algorithms for modeling of the treatment of wastewater contaminated with methyl tert–butyl ether (MTBE) by UV\H2O2 process

During the last two decades, methyl tert–butyl ether (MTBE) has been widely used as an additive to gasoline (up to 15%) both to increase the octane number and as a fuel oxygenate to improve air quality by reducing the level of carbon monoxide in vehicle exhausts. The present work mainly deals with photooxidative degradation of MTBE in the presence of H2O2 under UV light illumination (30 W). We studied the influence of the basic operational parameters such as initial concentration of H2O2 and irradiation time on the photodegradation of MTBE. Our results showed that MTBE could be treated easily and effectively with the UV\H2O2 process with EEo value 80 kWh\m3\order. Comparision between TRAINLM and TRAINSCG Algorithms idicated the TRAINLM algorithm could describe the behavior of the complex reaction system (UV\H2O2 process) with the range of experimental conditions adopted.<\div>

۳Morphological and genetic characterisation of selected Contracaecum (Nematoda: Anisakidae) larvae in Iran

The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of low–dose gamma irradiation (0, 1, 3 and 5 kGy) on fatty acid composition of Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fillet. Among all of the fatty acids, oleic acid (C18:1) (with mean 33.50±3.02 g\100 g fatty acids) and myristoleic acid (C14:1) (with mean 0.41±0.26 g\100 g fatty acids) were the most predominant and the lowest fatty acids in all irradiated and non–irradiated samples, respectively. Statistical analysis showed that there were no significant differences (P>0.05) in level of all fatty acids, saturated fatty acids (SFA), unsaturated fatty acids (USFA), mono unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) and poly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) between Rainbow trout fillet control and irradiated in 1, 3 and 5 kGy. Therefore irradiation process and different doses of irradiation in this study (1, 3 and 5 kGy) had no significant effect (P>0.05) on fatty acid composition.
