۱Thermodynamic modeling of the pure and binary adsorption equilibria using two dimension equations of state

A variety of two dimension equations of state including vdW, PR, SRK, Eyring and EOS–S were used to model the pure and binary adsorption equilibria. The pure model parameters for adsorption of methane and ethane on carbon active at 308.15, 333.15 and 373.15 K were obtained by regression of experimental data. The binary interaction parameters for adsorption of methane and ethane mixture on carbon active at 308.15, 333.15 and 373.15 K were also calculated by PREOS. The relative absolute average deviations (AAD%) of calculated results and the reported experimental data for various equations of state are reported. The AAD% for binary mixtures using PR–EOS is about 14%. By applying the model for methane, ethane, carbon active mixture, it was shown that this model is capable of describing the behavior of adsorption equilibria over relatively wide temperature ranges.<\div>

One of the most notable challenges in oil engineering is the produced water from oil reservoirs. The process of eliminating this water, besides increasing costs and decreasing efficiency of oil production, causing a decline of utilization capacity and even sometimes oil production is cut off and production well is leaved because of high flow of the water. One of the most important and useful methods to control and decrease the water production is the use of Preformed Particle Gels (PPGs) in oil reservoirs, which is recommended. The lower initial cost of this method has caused it to be considered. Material concentration, well salinity, particle size, well temperature and thickness of fractures affect the efficiency of preformed particle gels.According to what has been mentioned, Performance of PPG particles that have been made by polyacrylamide and chromium triacetate, on water shut off ability in porous media is the subject that has been studied. To approve actual well conditions to the condition of our laboratory, a two–dimensional well model for radial flows is used. Hence, smaller gel particles have less effect on oil flow permeability and bigger particles have a more desirable effect on water flow permeability.<\div>
