In this paper, the efJect of the dynamic compensators on power quality issue in the networks including wind turbines is studied. The main task discussed in the paper is mitigation of the voltage flickering. A model is presented to analyze the short term and instantaneous indices offlicker of the dynamic compensators. A test system is also employed to prodzrce flicker and flickermeter using Matlab–Simzrlink sojiware.<\div>

In our quest in finding drag reduction chemicals we are continuing to synthesize the cationic surfactants. In this project not only we are going to prepare a cationic surfactant RCH2(CH3)3X which X could be chloride or bromide ion then we are going to study its drag reducing properties in a pipeline which is building by our research group now. The effect of concentration of surfactant in drag reduction will also be studied.<\div>

This paper analyzes the effects of two control strategies on doubly–fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbine under unbalanced voltage then a new control strategy is proposed to achieve more advanced performance of it. In these control strategies, the rotor side converter (RSC) and grid side converter (GSC) are controlled in two positive and negative ((dq)+ and (dq)–) reference frames so that the control of them in the (dq)+ frame is similar to what occurs in the balanced conditions. In two first control strategies, the RSC is controlled in the (dq)– frame to eliminate the electromagnetic torque oscillations. In the first one, the GSC is controlled in the (dq)– frame to balance the total output currents while in the second one, the GSC is controlled to eliminate the oscillations of the total active power generated by the DFIG system. In the proposed control strategy, the RSC is controlled in the (dq)– frame to balance the stator currents; therefore the control of the GSC for eliminating the oscillations of the total active power is done easily. The simulation results obtained for a 7.5 KW DFIG based wind turbine validate the proposed control strategy and show the enhanced system operation during unbalanced voltage network.<\div>

This paper deals with a study on tubular permanent magnet (TL–PM) motors, considering radial magnetization pattern. After some preliminary analytical considerations, the relevant formulas have been presented. Four different states have been considered and the resulted figures and outputs have been showed, also a short analysis about the results has been represented.<\div>
