In this paper an analytical model is proposed to investigate the effect of internal radial clearance in nonlinear dynamic behavior of a rotating system supported by deep groove ball bearings. In this case, the only excitation mechanism is the parametric excitation which induces the ball pass frequency which is detected in the vibration spectra. The variation of vibration amplitude for different internal radial clearance is carefully analyzed. The rolling element contacts modeled with nonlinear springs based on Hertzian contact which is stiff in the direction of contact and soft in the opposite direction. The differential equations are solved iteratively using a modified Newmark numerical integration technique. The results are presented in the form of fast Fourier transforms. The obtained results are compared with those ones in reliable literatures<\div>

۲Three–Dimensional Elastodynamics Of Thick Plate Strip Subjected To Moving Line Loads

The fundamental solution for a line load moving uniformly on an infinite, homogeneous, isotropic thick plate strip is presented and discussed. The problem solution is derived by using Fourier transformation with respect to a moving reference frame in conjunction with Helmholtz potentials that obtains the response of the system by applying the displacement and stress conditions at boundary surfaces. The effects of load velocity and plate thickness on the basic dynamic field quantities such as the mid–plane displacement and bending moment amplitude along the z–axis are also evaluated and discussed.<\div>

۳Dynamic Modeling of Chaotic Response of Bearing Systems due to Surface Defects

In this paper an analytical model is proposed to study the nonlinear dynamic behavior of rolling element bearing systems including surface defects. The contact force of each rolling element described according to nonlinear Hertzian contact deformation and the effect of internal radial clearance has been taken into account. Mathematical expressions were derived for inner race, outer race and rolling element local defects. A modified Newmark time integration technique was used to solve the equations of motion numerically. The peak to peak frequency response of the system for each defect is obtained and the basic routes to periodic, quasi periodic and chaotic motions are determined. The current study
provides a powerful tool for design and health monitoring of machine systems.<\div>

۴Three–Dimensional Elasticity Solution for Vibration Problem of Thick Plate Strip under Moving Loads

The dynamic response of an arbitrarily thick, isotropic, simply supported plate strip under an arbitrarily distributed transverse moving line load is treated within the framework of three–dimensional elasticity theory. The classical method of separation of variables is used to solve the wave equation through harmonic decomposition of dilatational and distortional wave components and the solution of the problem is derived by using Fourier transformation with respect to a moving reference frame. Limiting cases are considered and good agreements with the solutions available in the literature are obtained.<\div>
