One of the most efficient ways of saving energy consumption in the buildings and achieving a sustainable plan is designing an accurate and appropriate façade in thebuildings. Double skin facades (DSF) are introduced as an appropriate solution in the field. DSF is an appropriate way of better managing the actions and reactions between internal and external spaces of the building. Moreover, DSF can be used to decrease heat dissipationin the winter and heat absorption in the summer. Moreover it can provide reduced sound pollution, better visual beauty, residents' needed light and also it can help air conditioning inthe building. It goes without saying, that correct designing of such system requires better understandingand perception of DSF system's components and function, establishing an appropriate combination among them, choosing appropriate materials, investigating air ventilationstrategy, shading, daily light, load caused by wind, aesthetic issues and appropriate repairand maintenance of installed systems. Necessity for paying much attention to DSF design and its implementation cause some problems in DSF systems which haven’t appropriateand exact design. The aim of current paper is to explain adjustability of DSF system with energy consumption reduction policies of the country, through introducing DSF system, investigating its history, explaining its components and also combining DSF system withbuilding HVAC which is one of the main advantages of DSF compared to other facades. Finally we will evaluate implementation way of DSF through introducing RWE building in Dortmund of Germany, as the case study.<\div>
