Recently, organic–inorganic hybrid nanocomposites based on polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) due to POSS unique structure and properties have taken much attention especially in biomedical application In this study a unique class of polyurethane i.e. poly (carbonate–urea) urethane membranes containing POSS as molecular reinforcement with superior biological properties was biologically investigated using L–929 cells by means of MTT assay, cell proliferation assay and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations. The main purpose was investigation the effect of POSS on biological properties of membranes. Two types of named nannocomposite different in POSS content were prepared. Cytotoxicity evalutions were performed at days of 3, 7 and 14. MTT assay showed very high biocompatibility of the nanocomposite close to 100%, interestingly increase in POSS content led to lower cytotoxicity. Similar tendency was also observed in cell proliferation assay and the sample containing more POSS showed higher proliferation rate of L–929. SEM observations illustrated very good adhesion of L–929 on the surface of the samples. The experiments revealed that POSS has a noticeable effect on biological properties of the nanocomposite, stimulates cell proliferation and enhances cell adhesion properties of the nanocomposite<\div>

Bamdezh wetland which is the combination of riverine and marsh wetland, occupying 44 (Km2) areas, is one the most important amongst the 22 existing wetlands in Iran and especially in Khuzestan Province. It controls the flood and overflow of Dez and Shavoor river and functions as a storage tank to control the overflow in winter. In summer it discharges water to Dez river. Because of the pollution, excessive upliftment of water by surrounding villages, draught and etc this wetland is shrinking very fast and becoming eutrophic. Shortage of stored water resulted into loss of habitats and biodiversity. Mathematical models have been developed to find out the healthy or positive relationship between the storage water (S) and wetland health index (WHI). On the basis of validity tested models, various methods for its restoration, reclamation and overall improvements have been suggested.<\div>

۳Novel Three–Component Synthesis Of Pyrano[2,3–c]Pyrazole Derivatives Catalyzed by ZnO Nanoparticles

One of efficient and convenient procedures for the synthesis of ethyl–6–amino–4–aryl–3–methyl–1–phenyl–1,4– dihydropyrano[2,3–c]pyrazole–5–carboxylate derivatives based on three component reaction involving ethylcyanoacetate, pyrazolone and various aromatic aldehyde in the presence of ZnO nanoparticles as heterogeneous catalysts and using dry ethanol as a solvent. The ZnO nanoparticles exhibited excellent catalytic activity and the proposed methodology is capable of providing the desired products in good yield (90–95%) and short time reaction<\div>

A novel, environmentally friendly synthesis of 5,9–dihydropyrimido[5,4–e][1,2,4]triazolo[1,5–a]pyrimidine–6,8(4H,7H)–diones has been developed by using a one–pot condensation of 1,3–dimethylbarbituric acid, 3–amino–1H–1,2,4–triazoles, and aromatic aldehydes. The reactions were established based on green chemistry principles under catalyst– and solvent–free conditions.<\div>
