۱Biodiesel, produced from Malaysian RBD Palm oil

The biodiesel as an alternative fuel was produced from transesterification reaction of Malaysian RBD Palm oil with different catalysts. KOH and NaOH are used as catalysts in this reaction at temperature 60 oC stirred in 600 rpm. Gas chromatography was applied to analyze the produced biodiesel. FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) contents are comparable with other research works. The yields of reactions show that KOH is a better catalyst in this reaction conditions. Finally a comparison between produced biodiesel properties (Kinematic viscosity, Flash point, Cetane number, Density, Acidity number) and conventional diesel fuel was carried out.<\div>

۲Mathematical Modeling Of Fluidized–Bed Reacto rs Application For The Reduction Of Iron Ores

Mathematical modeling of fluidized–bed reactors for the reduction of iron ore by gas containing H2 has been carried out. Two–phase bubbling bed model has been used to estimate the interaction between gas bubbles and dense phase in the bed. Particle size distribution, elutriation of fine particles, continuous reactor operation and the first–order reversible kinetics for the chemical reaction are assumed. The reduction behaviour of iron is described by the grain model. A program was developed in MATLAB software for solving the governing equations at different temperaturesand pressures. Model predictions have been compared with Srinivasan and Staffansson 's work [1] in which shrinking core model has been used. There was a good agreement between these two different modelings.<\div>

۳Reactive distillation in complex columns by McCabe–Thiele method

Mathematical modeling of reactive distillation columns for binary mixtures has been carried out,in which multiple feeds introduced and more than one side stream withdrawn from the column when graphical method proposed by McCabe–Thiele has been used. A program was developed inMATLAB software which is able to determine the flow rate of overhead and bottom products of reactive distillation column, equilibrium data at each stage and plot McCabe–Thiele diagram. The order of reaction, conversion, the equilibrium data of two components, flow rate of feed and sidestreams and the fraction of components in input and output streams are used as inputs. The program used for isomerization reactions at different conditions of with and without azeotrope. The simulation data for isomerization reactions with azeotrope has been compared with the resultsof ASPEN software that it is seen a good agreement. Also in this program the effect of Murphree efficiency on the results has been considered<\div>

۴Metal and metal carbide producing by metal oxides reduction with methane containing gas

Hard metal compounds producing such as metallic carbides has a great industrial importance. reaction of metal oxides with carbon source materials uses for metalic carbides producing. Commonly, in metal processing factories, coal is used as the reducing agent in solid state reduction of metal oxides for metalic carbides producing. These reactions temperature similar to high temperature reactions is between 900 to 1200 ºC. Use of methane instead of coke as a reducing agent has some advantages: one of the most important advantage among them is reactiontemperature decreasing which has a great importance. With attention to higher reactivity ofmethane rather than solid carbon and higher kinetic rate in gas–solid reaction in comparison withthe solid–solid reaction, methane has higher reducing capability than carbon which creates a potentrial to decrease reduction operating temperature. So because of importance of methane application, in the present work, a brief review of literature survey in the field of metal or hard metalic carbides producing by noncatalytic methane reaction with metal oxides was studied.<\div>
