The area of plasma polymerization is now well recognized as an important part of material science. Plasma polymerization spans over several fields of science, namely chemistry, physics and extends in recent years to biology. Plasma treatment is a well established industrial method for the so called "activation" of polymer surfaces prior to bounding, printing or painting procedures. The nature of the surface of a material such as wettability, chemistry, charge and roughness has been shown to be critical for biocompatibility. There has been extensive research on the development of surface treatment processes for biomaterials in order to improve their cell adhesion property in recent years. Low temperature plasma surface modification is one of the physicochemical
methods for modifying membrane surface. This technique employs glow discharge to emit molecules in the system into a plasma state, including electrons,
charged ions and free radicals. In general, this plasma modification technique has some technological advantages when compared to other methods. Due to the plasma sheath formation following the work piece border, the modification is fairly uniform over the whole surface even if its geometry is complex. Compared to wet chemical treatment, plasma modification produces much less waste and is therefore advantageous concerning pollution control.<\div>

۲Effect of Magnetron Plasma Parameters on the Sputtered Thin Films of Copper

A sputtering apparatus was designed and manufactured with a planar circular DC magnetron. The effect of magnetic field lines on the plasma structure was shown using photo imaging. Unbalanced condition of the magnetron was demonstrated under different values of voltage, pressure and distance between cathode and substrate. The effect of these variables was studied on the coatings thicknesses, their composition and light absorption using the data from the experiments of light photo spectrometry. ۳Carbon Nanoparticles by Pulsed Direct Current Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition

Pulsed direct current plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition was used to deposit carbon nanoparticles at room temperature. Transmission electron microscopy revealed the shapes and sizes of carbon nanoparticles. The minimum size of the nanoparticles was as low as 10 nm. X–ray diffraction did not show peaks of graphite. Raman and Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy revealed the sp2bonds of the graphite planes in the nanoparticles.<\div>

Electromagnetic fields of a relativistic charged particle rotating about a dielectric sphere of double– negative and epsilon–negative metamaterial is investigated. Some features of radiation is compared by conventional medium. It is shown that in the case of transparent medium the transmitted field mostly concentrate near surface for conventional and double negative medium but it is divergent for epsilon –negative material.<\div>
