According to the reports, voltage sag is the most probable voltage problem in the network. As the number of sensitive loads increases rapidly the demand for a reliable and cost effective solution also has been increased. In this paper we are going to evaluate DVR performance controlled by an instantaneousalgorithm, facing various kinds of voltage sags. We have used Electro Magnetic Transient Program (EMTP) as a reliable tool for our simulations.<\div>

The design of power electronic converter circuit with the use of closed loop scheme needs modeling and then simulating the converter using the modeled equation. This can easily be done with the help of state equations and MATLAB\SIMULINK as a tool for simulation of those state equations. An attempt has been made in this paper to simulate all basic non–isolated power converters. So that these models can be readily used for any close loop design (say using PI, fuzzy, or sliding mode control etc.).<\div>

The increasing wind power integration with power grid has forced situation to protection of wind generators against symmetric and asymmetric voltage sag for stable operation. Oneimportant problem with induction generator based wind farm is its low ride through capability to the grid voltage disturbance.Any disturbance such as voltage sag may cause wind farm outages. Since wind power contribution is in predominant percentage, such outages may lead to stability problem. The proposed strategy is to use Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) to compensate the voltage disturbance. The DVR provides the wind generator the ability to remain connected in grid and improve the reliability. Extensive simulation results are included to illustrate the control and operation of DVR.<\div>
