۱Fuzzy Logic Modeling of Heat Transfer in Air Cooler Equipped with Jagged Twisted Tape Inserts

This paper focuses on the application of fuzzy logic (FL) to model and predict the Experimental Results of heat transfer in an air cooled heat exchanger equipped with the jagged twisted tape inserts. Experiments included Reynolds number (Re) ranging from 4021 to 16118 and the twist ratio (R) of the jagged inserts from 1.76 to 3.53. Average Nusselt numbers from Fuzzy analysis as a function of twist ratio and Reynolds number are presented by some figure in this paper. Modeling results showed that, the heat transfer rates obtained by employing the jagged inserts, increases by incising the Reynolds number and reduces by increasing the twist ratio. This can be due to the increase in the swirl intensity by decreasing the twist ratio which results to the increase of the average Nusselt number. A fuzzy inference system (FIS) named Mamdani was used to estimate the output membership functions of triangular symmetric type, to be fuzzy sets. It has been also shown that, fuzzy logic (FL) is a powerful instrument for predicting the experimental results due to its low error rate. The mean relative error (MRE) of fuzzy predictions with respect to experimental data was found to be 0.58% for this study.<\div>

۲Genetic Algorithm for Optimizing of Thermal Performance of an Air Cooler Equipped with Jagged Inserts

This paper presents an application of genetic algorithms (GA) to the problem of optimizing the thermal performance of an air cooled heat exchanger equipped with the jagged twisted tape inserts. This method is one of the evolutionary algorithms which is based on natural selection and natural genetics and used in optimization of varies engineering fields such as industrial planning, Pattern recognition, Resource allocation and so on. Simplicity and accuracy are some of the advantages of this method. Experiments included the twist ratio ranging from 1.76 to 3.53. Also, the Reynolds number varied from 4021 to 16118. After data reduction, the regression equation of thermal performance was obtained as a function of Reynolds number and the twist ratio. Then the fitness function was optimized by the use of GA. One can be sure that the thermal performance will be optimized through the optimization of the fitness function. Optimization results show that the proposed optimization algorithm is quite effective and powerful in optimizing the fitness function. According to the results, in order to obtain maximum thermal performance, the twist ratio must be at the lowest level. This means that, by increasing the twist ratio of jagged inserts, the thermal performance of inserts decreases.<\div>

۳Imperialist Competitive Algorithm to Optimize the Heat Transfer in Air Cooler Equipped with Butterfly Inserts

In this paper the use of a novel optimization algorithm based on imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA) for optimizing the heat transfer in an air cooled heat exchanger equipped with the butterfly inserts has been reported. This method is one of the evolutionary algorithms used in optimization of engineering fields. Simplicity, accuracy and time saving are some of the advantages of this method. Experiments included the inclined angle of the butterfly inserts ranging from 45o to 135o. Also, the Reynolds number varied from 4021 to 16118. After data reduction, the regression equation of average Nusselt number was obtained as a function of Reynolds number and the inclined angle. Then the cost function was optimized by the use of ICA. One can be sure that the Nusselt number will be optimized due to the optimization of the cost function. Computational results indicate that the proposed optimization algorithm is quite effective and powerful in optimizing the cost function. According to the results, in order to obtain maximum heat transfer, the inclined angle must be 87o. This means that, by the deviation of inclined angle of butterfly inserts from 450, heat transfer decreases. This can be due to the generation of stronger turbulence intensity and more rapid mixing of flow created by this insert.<\div>

Nowadays study of the industrial pollutions has become a controversial issue to reduce the risks of them in all of the world. Studding of air, water, and soil pollutions as separately may cause neglect from address to a comprehensive look in industrial pollution issue. In addition, without the exact information about quantity and quality of pollution sources, reduce or eliminate industrial pollutions are not possible. Environmental flowdiagram (EFD) is made based on energy reference system (RES) and process flow diagram (PFD) for each industrial company or unit. In this paper, by coding in visual basic program environment, EFD designed for determining sources of pollutants, division sources of pollutants flows based on acceptor environment, and explaining impact of solutions to the energy optimization and reduce environmental pollutants. EFD is an user friendly software that can be used in all of the industrial companies particularly in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) sections of operational units for detailed knowledge of pollution level of the area.<\div>

۵Investigation about soil heat flux in different depths based on elapsed time

Knowledge about soil temperature can be useful for studding of evaporation from soil surface. In this paper, using coding in a visual basic program environment, a differential equation for the flow of waterinto the soil has been solved for soil heat flux calculating. Obtained results showed that the soil heatcalculator program SHCP was an appropriate tool for calculating soil heat flux. According to the results, accuracy of the SHCP increased with over time. The amounts of R2 after 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours, were 0.991, 0.996, and 0.999, respectively, for soil heat flux at difference depths<\div>
