Quality control is an essential part of production and is needed at every stage of manufacture. Parts must be correctly made or they will not fit properly. The finished product should be free from defect. Poor quality control leads to slow and expensive production. It also loses customers and sometimes results in expensive recalls. In British and American factories quality control is the work of skilled inspectors who examine parts and finished products. German and Japanese factories involve the workers themselves in quality control. Groups check their own output and make suggestions to improve quality. The Japanese “quality circles” involve workers and managers. The high standards achieved in this manner bring lower costs and more satisfied customers. Many American companies are now instituting such circles<\div>

۲Effect of Intercooling on the Performance of Micro CHP Systems

In recent years, the development of distributed power generation has resulted in significant reduction in network losses and transmission costs while it has increased reliability. Microturbine is one of these power generators that has the ability of relatively high power generation in spite of its small volume [1], [2]. In order to modify microturbine cycle characteristics, presentation and analysis of advanced configurations are mportant. Use of intercooling between compressors is one of these configurations. In this configuration, outlet air of the first compressor is ooled in the compact heat exchanger whit water and then entered the second compressor. In this paper, mentioned configuration is studied for various quantities of heat and power in CHP mode. In present study, each part of cycle is modeled exactly based on the first and second laws of thermodynamics. Considering these models, effects of varying parameters such as compressor pressure ratio, produced vapor pressure, and recuperator effectiveness on the main cycle characteristics are studied. Results show that microturbine with intercooler and recuperator (MTC–IC) is the best option, with regard to efficiency and power criteria, but its steam production is less than simple cycle with recuperator (MTC). For MTC–IC, increasing pressure ratio, power is increased compared to simple cycle. For example, this increase reaches 18% at pressure ratio of 5. Also, studied configuration has more efficiency and is a proper option for combined heat and power generation systems, especially at bypass ratios greater than 0.5.<\div>

Ever since the evolution of Italian city–states during the Renaissance and the Dutch and German cities in the 16th and 17th centuries, the concept and success of a modern economy have been based on geographical borders that make specialization possible, i.e. allow for the creation of economic clusters enhancing welfare. Economic theory has been based upon the principle stated by Adam Smith, according to which there is a positive link between welfare and the size of a market, because a larger market allows for greater specialization and thus also contributes to the increase of productivity and improvement of living standards . In this context, both the enhancement of the competitive advantages of indigenous companies and the selection of locations for FDI are based increasingly on particular economic and technological factors. This makes part of the traditional policies and strategies supporting economic development obsolete or, leaves them without the intended impact. Yet it is obvious that a target of public policies should still be to support the modernization of the economy based on a vigorous private sector<\div>

۴Inactivation of Penicillin G in Milk Using Hydrogen Peroxide

Milk antibiotic residues have been a public concern in recent years. The Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance mandates that raw Grade A milk will test negative for ک–lactam antibiotic residues before processing. The purpose of this research was to investigate the ability of various levels of peroxide anD heat to inactivate penicillin G in raw milk. Whole milk spiked to a mean of 436 ± 15.1 (standard error of the mean) ppb of potassium penicillin G was treated with hydrogen peroxide at levels of 0.0, 0.09, 0.17, and 0.34%. Samples at each peroxide level (n = 6 per treatment) were treated as follows: 1) incubated at 54.4°C for 3 h, 2) pasteurized at 62.8°C for 30 min, 3) incubated and pasteurized as in treatments 1 and 2, or 4) received no further treatment. A ک–lactam competitive microbial receptor assay was used for quantification of penicillin G. Concentrations of penicillin in selected samples were determined by HPLC and ک–star kit for a comparison of test methods. Treatments were evaluated relative to their ability to reduce milk penicillin G levels to below the safe level of 5 ppb. The 0.09% hydrogen peroxide level was ineffective for all treatments. Hydrogen peroxide at 0.17% lowered the mean penicillin G (±SEM) from 436 ± 15.1 to 6 ± 1.49 ppb using the incubated and pasteurized heat treatment. The 0.34% concentration of hydrogen peroxide was the most effective, inactivating penicillin G to a level well below the safe level of 5 ppb with the pasteurized heat treatment, with or without incubation<\div>

۵Organizing for Off shoring Innovation with Managing Globalization of R&D

This article analyzes the challenges brought about by the globalization of innovative activity to the science and practice of management. The task of matching organization structure and management practices to the needs of R&D off shoring is analyzed through a set of dichotomous pairs
of concepts: a) Drastic vs. Gradual and Systemic vs. Autonomous Innovation, 2) High vs. Low Skill Specificity, 3) Input Markets vs. Output Markets, 4) Intra–Firm vs. Arms Length Off shoring. In the trade–off between markets and hierarchies, the firms often come down on the side of the latter when it comes to the setting up of R&D facilities abroad. Organizational directives and internalization, i.e. intra–firm off shoring can trump market incentives and foreign outsourcing, when it comes to the uncertain returns from innovative activity, particularly in the case of drastic innovations and high skill specificity. Globalization has led to dispersed markets and firms have responded with dispersed locations of core assets, creating competence clusters all over the world, and the innovative firm of the future will restructure each individual cell, the basic building block of the firm consisting of an occupation devoted to a product, and redeploy and relocate them globally, where it is most advantageous.<\div>

۶Investigation on microstructure and mechanical properties of dissimilar lap Friction Stir Spot Welding of aluminum 0101 to pure copper

In the present study, Friction Stir Spot Welding (FSSW) was used to produce a sound lap joint between aluminum 1101 and commercially pure copper sheets. Three different dwell times (11, 10, and 21 s) and three different rotation speeds (1011, 1011, and 1011 rpm) were chosen as the parameters of welding to investigate their effect on joining properties. Optical microscopy was carried out to study microstructural evaluation and microhardness and tensile shear test were used to investigate mechanical properties of joints. The results showed that by increasing both dwell times and rotation speeds the shear strength enhanced. The maximum strength (0895 N) obtained in 1011 rpm and 21 s is significantly higher than strength reported by other researchers. Optical observation illustrated the transportation of plasticized aluminum toward copper in pin\sheets interface which produce a mechanical lock that is the main source of high shear strength. Formation the Mixing Zone (MZ) with a lamellar structure is another phenomenon that took place around pin during FSSW which also play an important role in shear strength. Microhardness test in MZ indicate a high hardness (001 HV) which is an evidence of intermetallic compound formation. X ray diffraction proved the formation of Al2Cu and Al0Cu8 intermetallic compound in MZ.<\div>

۸Moderating Role of Political Skills in the Relation between Negative Work– Family Spillover and Psychosomatic Complaints

Negative work–family spillover is one of the most important and disturbingfactors for the staff in health organizations. With focus to the moderating role of political skills, the main purpose of this research was to study the role of work–family spillover in psychosomatic complaints due to the moderating role of political skills. This research used correlational methodology with a sample of two hundred forty five staff from an industrial company in Esfahan, Iran. The research instruments included work–family spillover questionnaire, political skillsscale, and psychosomatic complaint questionnaire. Data was analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression analysis. The results showed a negative and significant relationship between work–family spillover and political skills. In addition, a positive and significant relationship between work–family spillover and psychosomatic complaints was also found. The results of hierarchical regression analysis showed that in those with low political skills, a significant relationship exists between spillover into the children and housework areas and psychosomatic complaints, while no such relationship is found in those with high political skills.

۹Luminescence Properties Of Pure CaSO4 Nanoparticles Produced By Co– Precipitation Method

Thermoluminecsence (TL) characteristics of pure CaSO4 nanoparticles produced by co–precipitation method are presented. The formation of the nanoparticles was confirmed by X–ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). TL glow curve of this phosphor, exposed to gamma radiation exhibits five overlapping glow peaks in the complex glow curve at 463, 470, 483, 498 and521(K) respectively, using a computerized glow curve deconvolution procedure. A photoluminescence (PL) emission band at 393 nm was observed for the synthesized nanoparticles. Different synthesis conditions were examined in order to achieve highest TL sensitivity. The produced nanoparticles exhibit superior thermoluminescent sensitivity compared to that of its bulk equivalent.
