At the design stage of new or at the rehabilitation stage of existing industrial plants, the tendency to increasing their efficiency leads to selecting the best structure of the power electric network for a plant, and choosing the most effective equipment set dependent on expected operating
conditions– Analysis of conditions optimal from the viewpoint of electric power consumption is of great interest for engineers at existing plants.
Nowadays, the available computing programs make it possible to calculate the steady–state operating conditions of particular electrical systems– But unfortunately the data input process itself of both the system structure and the equipment parameters becomes a separate real challenge
creating difficulties in multi optional computations and elongating this process in timeCapabilities of modern personal computers and relevant programming languages enable us to solve the problem with arranging the problemoriented interfaces which simplify drastically the man–computer interaction [1,2]
The present study is aimed at development and creation of automated representation of the electric system structure, data input of equipment characteristics, and PC computing of the steady–state operation of electric power supply system. Consider the electric circuit as a multi connected graph in which the elements of the circuit (generators, transformers, power transmission lines, loads etc–) are presented as nodes and the connections between them (with zero resistance) as arcs– One can choose the direction from a source to consumer as a positive direction of power flow– One compares the generally accepted image (Fig–1) with each of the possible types of electric circuit elements– The direction of electric power flow is indicated by red arrows– Then, each unit of the graph may be characterized by an ordinal number of the circuit element, its type, image and the numbers of those elements with, which the element is connected– Thus the structure of the electric circuit is completely described.<\div>
