Selecting process conditions for the dilution crystallization of sulfur in ethanol +toluene mixture for production of sulfur nanocrystals is studied in the present work. The crystallization process is carried out using the anti–solvent technique to obtain sulfur precipitations in solution. First of all, the solubility of sulfur in toluene was determined as a solvent and then sulfur particles were produced by using crystallizer, anti solvent (ethanol) and mechanical mixer as a producer of supper saturation. Since the purpose is to produce nano particles, we have determined the shape and size of particles by filtrating crystals from solution and performing SEM and TEM tests. The feasibility of the proposed scheme and operating conditions are confirmed by experimental studies in a crystallizer at 25 0 C constant temperature.<\div>

۲Growth kinetics of sulfur in dilution crystallization from a (sulfur– ethanol –toluene–water) solution

Employing a method similar to initial derivation and using solubility curve data and effective parameter determination, a mathematical model for calculation of the linear crystal growth rate in crystallization process has been developed. Dilution crystallization is an important unit operation in manufacturing of particles and is used for obtaining crystallization kinetic. The anti– solvent volume is the effective parameter in system at 25 0 C. An advantage of this method is that concentration driving force affects the linear crystal growth rate and crystallization occurs in metastable zone region. The results from this study show that the model is accurate as procedures which use weight and particle size to find crystal properties.<\div>
