۱Bayesian Inference and Negative Binomial Distribution for Designing an Optimum Acceptance Sampling Plan

sampling plan is a statement of criteria of acceptance applied to a batch based on appropriate examinations of a required number of sample units by specific methods. In this paper, a new acceptance sampling plan is introduced in which, it is assumed that every defective item cannot be detected with complete certainty. To model the problem, the probability distribution function of the number of defective items in the batch is determined through Bayesian inference and based on this probability density function, the probability of correct decision in different actions is evaluated. Decision making is based on the First and second type error probabilities. Based on these two criteria, the optimal decision is made. One numerical example is provided to illustrate the applications of the proposed models.<\div>

۲A Nonlinear Autoregressive Model with Exogenous Variables Neural Network for Stock Market Timing: The Candlestick Technical Analysis

In this paper, the nonlinear autoregressive model with exogenous variables as a new neural network is used for timing of the stock markets on the basis of the technical analysis of Japanese Candlestick. In the model the nonlinear autoregressive model with exogenous variables” is an analyzer. For a more reliable comparison, here (like the litrature) two approaches of Raw–based and Signal–based are devised to generate the input data of the model. The correct predictions percentages for periods of 1– 6 days with the total number of buy and sell signals are considered. The result prove that to some extent the approaches have similar performances while apparently they are superior to a feed–forward static neural network. The created network is evaluated by the measure of Mean of Squared Error and the proposed model accuracy is calculated to be extremely high.<\div>

۳Identification snails of orchards and farms in west Azarbaijan province, Iran

During 2012–2013 in a funistic survey of Snails, several species of snails were collected and identified; both from orchards, farms and the weeds. In total, 18 species belonging to 17 genera out of 10 families are identified based on morphometric characteristics including (shape and size of operculum, aperture, dextral or sinistral of shell, pneumostome, keel, radula, renal ridge and reproduction system). As a result, Vitrea contortula, Vallonia tenuilabris and Orculella sirianocoriensis identified as new record for Iranian mollusc fauna. Besides, the most damaging species within the yielded list identified as Helicella krynickii that has much importance within the north west of region.

۴Human cytomegalovirus infection in tumor specimens of Iranian patients with glioma

Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) causes persistent infection in humans and severe diseases in fetus and immunocompromised individuals. Although HCMV is not currently implicated in human cancer, emerging evidence suggests that HCMV infection might be specifically associated with some human malignancies including glioma. Glioma is one of the most common brain tumors affecting children and adults. In this study, we used Real–Time (RT) PCR and immunohistochemistry techniques for detection of HCMV infection in glioma brain tumor biopsies. Paraffin embedded tumor tissues were obtained from patients who had been diagnosed with glioma. After designing of specific primers for the HCMV US28 region, a RT–PCR method was developed for HCMV DNA detection. Immunohistochemistry was performed on the same samples by using monoclonal antibodies specific for immediate earlyprotein (IE)–72 and IE 86 protein of HCMV. The results of RT–PCR on 4 of 18 patients (22\2 %) were positive. Two of the patients with HCMV positive RT–PCR results, passed away. Seven patients (38.8%) were positive with the IHC assay. It was also shown that in patients with higher grade of glioma, higher level of positive cells was observed using IE72 and IE 86 antibodies. Considering the results and controversies associated with reports from other regions of the world, a more comprehensive study using this and other diagnostic methods are suggested in Iranian patients with glioma.
