Introduction: The present study was aimed to examine the effect of forgiveness training on emotional self–regulation and psychological well–being of released male prisoners referred to social services and post–release care offices in Sistan and Baluchestan Materials and Methods: The population included all released male prisoners referred to a care center in 2602 within the age range of 22–25 years in Zahedan. The sample consisted of 22 released male prisoners whom were selected based on the Transgression–Related Interpersonal Motivations Inventory (for screening). They were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group (02 participants in the experimental and 02 in the control group). The SRI– 22 Emotional Self–Regulation Inventory (Ibanez et al., 2662) and Psychological Well–Being Scale (Reif, 0595) were used to collect data. The experimental group participated in 02 sessions of forgiveness training workshop.Results : The results indicated that forgiveness training affected emotional self–regulation and forgiveness training enhanced and stabilized emotional self–regulation after four months.Conclusion: Therefore, using this kind of training can have a relatively stable effect on enhancing emotional self–regulation.<\div>
