Among different Nanotechnologies, Quantum Dot Cellular Automata (QCA) and Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor (CNTFET) technologies are in high demand due to their particular characteristics such as high speed, low power consumption, and small feature size. Also, numerous digital circuit design approaches have been investigated in the two aforementioned technologies. One of the most important gates used in arithmetic and logic circuits is the majority gate. In this paper two novel methods for designing nine–input majority function using a hybrid structure of QCA and CNT technologies are presented; which would be applicable to approximate and correct circuit applications. The proposed approximate circuit has achieved considerable improvements in terms of cell–count and area in comparison with conventional and state–of–the–art majority gates. This new approach can be used in various arithmetic and logic circuits, such as adders, flip–flops, RAM, and FPGAs.<\div>
