In this paper, on the basis of the past project cost and time performance, an exhaustive model for forecasting project cost performance is developed. In this model Earn Value Method (EVM) and Monte–Carlo simulation, which are two important techniques for calculating the actual progress and forecasting cost performance of projects are used. Likewise in this model for developing the project stochastic S–Curve (SS–Curve), project cost uncertainties are considered through the Beta distribution functions of the project activities costs, which are extracted from the previous projects information, real conditions, and expert judgment<\div>

cost and quality are considered as vital competitive factors for costruction firms and studies of their relationships play an imprtant role in construction industry. Quality costing is a measure of costs associated with the achievement or non–achievement of product quality that is defined by the company and its contracts. the objective of achieving a product with a good quality not only to meet the customer requirements but also to do it with the lowest cost. therefore a realistic estimation of CoQ and improvement benefits which is the trade–off between the level of conformance and non–conformance costs should be considered as a critical quality activity for contractors. on the basis of PAF model cost of quality includes prevention costs i.e., design reviews and education appraisal costs i.e. testing and failure costs i.e. reworks fr internal costs and repairs and replacements for external costs.<\div>

۴Management of Tunnel Construction Projects with TBM: A System Dynamics Approach

In tunneling projects using tunnel boring machines (TBM), there is a great risk of cost overruns and schedule delays, so proper management and planning of these projects can save both budget and time. The longitudinal nature of tunneling projects makes them a dynamic system, so that, the more the machine goes ahead, the longer the distance of material being transported. Consequently trains traveling time will be increased and if the transportation system is not empowered appropriately, the TBM will become idle and the project will be delayed. To address this issue, this article introduces a dynamic simulation model using system dynamics that represents processes involved in a TBM tunneling project. The project processes are analyzed, focusing on efficient and timely material transportation. Based on the model results, resources will be allocated properly and as a consequence project performance will be improved. Finally with an example the developed model is examined.<\div>

The substantial factor in the Line of Balance (LOB) Scheduling is repetitive characteristic of activities. Learning phenomenon in projects with repetitive characteristics causes increment in crew’s performance and therefore in the rate of production of activities. In many projects, such as road construction, one crew participates in more than one activity, through the project term. To make the balanced schedule, required work hours of common crews varies in all units because of learning phenomenon. In this paper by establishing a balanced schedule, a method for optimized resource estimation and allocation in road construction project is developed.<\div>
