In this study, aluminum matrix composite reinforced by micron nickel powder was successfully produced and the effects of number of ARB cycles and the amount of nickel content on the mechanical properties of composites were investigated. The results compared with ARB processed monolithic aluminum. According to the results of tensile tests, it is shown that the tensile strength of the composite, as a functionof nickel content, has a maximum value at 2vol.%, which is 4.2 times higher than that of the annealed aluminum. It is also found that the tensile strength and hardness of the ARB processed composites and monolithic aluminum increase with the number of cycles. However, the tensile strength and hardness of the composites are much higher than those of the monolithic aluminum. The tensile test results revealed that the elongation of the composites is lower than that of the monolithic aluminum.<\div>
