۱Optimal Design of Space Structures Considering Nonlinear Behavior by Evolutionary Algorithm

In this study, design of space structures for optimal weight considering geometrical and material nonlinear behavior is presented using continuous virtual sub population (CVSP) evolutionary algorithm. The design variables are cross sectional areas of the space structures. Design constraints include structural, stability and geometrical constraints. Tension and compression stresses are limited to their critical values and nodal displacements are restricted to its upper bounds. The overall loss of stability is also checked during the optimization process and some restrictions on design variable are considered as geometrical constraints. The design examples presented have shown that further reduction is possible in weight of structures by including the nonlinear behavior in optimum design of space structures.<\div>

۲Efficient alkaloids extraction of eggplant for producing two types of antibacterial and anti–fungal gels

The principle constituent available in eggplant was an alkaloid which was prepared as an antibacterial and an antifungal gels. The quantitative
determination of the alkaloid was conducted by continuous extraction method using an extractor with 95% by weight of alcohol and chloroform s
solvent for 3–5 hours. The menstrum was treated with 1% by weight of HCl and ammonia, in order to purify the alkaloid that was dissolved in the menstrum. When it was tested chemically, it gave a positive test for alkaloid, so its effectively was tested microbiologically. Zones of inhibition were observed by using staphylococcus aureus, escherichia coli and candida albican as the test organisms. Therefore, acquired alkaloid was used as active component in the preparation of two effective gels, by incorporating with white base from the official formula.<\div>

Maintenance reliability and efficiency in industrial hydraulic systems operation has become a point of concern for the professionals in maintenance engineering. One practical approach in this regard is the realization of symptoms of early stage malfunctioning in fluid power systems after which maintenance planning and preventive means would follow upon a reasonably accurate and subsequently acceptable determination. Among the highly reliable sources providing such convenience, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) stands a high chance of success.
Neural network method has been used to detect faults occurring in most hydraulic systems. These faults could be related to supply pressure, effective bulk modulus and total leakage. The simulated system in this study consists of hydraulic servo valve, double acting cylinder and a spring that resists piston movement. Two main reasons causing this system to have a nonlinear behavior are hydraulic servo valve and compressibility effect of hydraulic fluid. The neural network approach in this investigation comprises of an efficient use in nonlinear systems and requires advance knowledge about the system behavior under faulty conditions and assumptions about the type and severity of faults likely to occur. Neural networks trained with different training algorithms are investigated. After training the network, the system was examined for different inputs and obtained results were compared.<\div>
