This study was conducted to investigate the foreign language classroom anxiety and its relationship to demographic characteristics of gender and age. The research method was descriptive correlational one. The chosen population for the study was 100 students of Velayat University of Iranshahr during the first semester of 1394–95 Iranian academic year who had taken the General English course, 54 female and 46 male students. Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (Horowitz, Horowitz, and Cope, 1986) was used for the collection of data. Data Analysis was carried out using statistical measures like Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Independent T–Test. These analyses were performed via Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The results indicate a negative and significant relationship between foreign language classroom anxiety and age. They also demonstrate a higher level of anxiety in female students compared to the male students.<\div>
