The relationship between personality traits (extraversion and introversion) and learners’English knowledge in an EFL setting was investigated in this study. The participants were 40students in an EFL setting. A questionnaire of an extraversion scale which measured the degreeof extraversion and introversion based on Eysenk Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) was used.Data relevant to subjects’ language knowledge was collected for each participant according to anEnglish language test. Data was analyzed through Software Statistical Package for SocialScience (SPSS) version–18. Descriptive statistics, that is mean and standard deviation ofrespondents’ scores were computed. In order to assess the relationship between personality traits(extraversion\introversion) and English language knowledge, the Pearson correlation was usedand t–test was applied for the sake of comparison of males’ and females’ extraversion degree.The correlation coefficient value reveals that there is a positive correlation between twovariables. On the other hand the finding in this study indicate that the mean score differencebetween male and female participants in extraversion scale is slight and is not significant.Pedagogical implication of this study is that language learning process is different from onelearner to another. So the teachers need to be aware of students’ personality bases and theirdifferences. The teachers should introduce various types of activities so that both extroverted andintroverted students can learn appropriately and affectively.<\div>
