۱Electrochemical Determination of Ascorbic Acid with using Glassy Carbon Electrodes modified with Multi–walled Carbon Nanotubes

Multi–walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) was used to modify glassy carbon electrode because of its unique structure and extraordinary properties. MWCNT modified electrode exhibited obvious enhancing andelectro–catalyzing effects to the oxidation of ascorbic acid using cyclic voltammetry technique.This method of modification has lowered the capacitance background current and enabled lower detection limit of ascorbic acid concentration.Under the optimized parameters, the calibration curve constructed was linear up from 370 μM to 1mM. The cyclic voltammetric method can be used by Quality Control laboratories to identify and quantify Vitamin C in environment samples as well as in pharmaceutical preparations.<\div>

۲Energy management and economic analysis of hybrid (photovoltaic\diesel\battery) systems in Iran; considering the fuel price effect

In Iran, the cost of fuel is highly subsidized. If Iran removes the fuel subsidy, the cost of diesel fuel would increase and the PV or Hybrid PV\diesel systems would become moreattractive. In this paper, a study of using PV\diesel\bat power systems, to meet a typical load requirements in a remote region in Kerman,Iran is investigated under four different diesel generator fuel price scenarios. The optimization method which is based on the annual electricaldemand, solar radiation data and rated power of diesel generator consists of two parts: the model of Loss of Power Supply Probability (LPSP) andthe model of the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). Results show that only under subsidized diesel fuel price scenario, diesel–onlysystem has the minimum costs, but by the elimination of diesel fuel price subsidies, the role of diesel generator decreases in hybrid(PV\diesel\bat) energy systems.<\div>

۳Pushing the limits in hydraulic fracture design with a P–3D model and non–Darcy flow effect consideration

With the onset of hydraulic fracturing an applicable development method for production from gas wells– high or low permeable– was introduced, with fracture parameters optimization being the mainstay for the hydraulic fracturing design. In this study, a method for optimizing fracture parameters is introduced based on the Unified Fracturing Design (UFD. Thereafter, the maximum dimensionless productivity index and optimal dimensionless fracture flow conductivity are calculated for a certain proppant number in a fractured well. The calculations are followed by determining the corresponding dimensionless productivity index, the optimal half–length and the width of the fracture.Assuming a constant fracture height, the calculations become easy and a 2D fracture model would suffice to design it. But, it is not constant throughout the fracture and varies with the net pressure exerted on the fracture medium. All calculations above are carried out taking into account the effect of non–Darcy flow in the fracture with not only the fracture width and length, but also the fracture height being optimized. Considering these two issues, the effects of design parameters on the production from a hydraulically fractured well are investigated<\div>

۴THE DESIGN AND TECHNICAL REVIEW OF AN ABSORPTION COOLING CYCLE USING SOLAR ENERGY

In the present study, a solar system is designed for a residential building with an infrastructure of 1200 square meters and 1050 square meters of ventilated useful space in Haji–Abad city. This system is suitable for integrating solar and cooling systems. It is a single–effect absorption chiller with hot water supply and drainpipe collector. Natural gas consumption in ordinary absorption chiller was 44.4 cubic meters per hour. After calculating the thermal and the combustibility value of gas, natural gas consumption in solar absorption chiller was 29.7 cubic meters per hour less than the initial state, which is very economical. The functioning period of this system has been considered for 9 months. The results show that the initial costs are low and the running costs are high in ordinary absorption chillers while the reverse holds true for solar absorption chillers. This can be a new option of using absorption chillers with a capacity over 70 tons of refrigeration in absorption cycles that use solar energy<\div>
