Subband adaptive filtering has attracted much attention lately. In this paper, a new and improved structure and a new formulation for adapting the filter coefficients is discussed. The scheme is based on infinite impulse response (IIR) filterbanks, formed from allpass polyphase filters, which exhibit very high quality filtering compared to typical finite impulse response (FIR) implementations, have relatively low complexity, introduce a limited degree of phase distortion and have low delay. The new formulation yields improved convergence rate when LMS algorithm is used for coefficient adaptation. The scheme is tested in an acoustic echo canceller application and shown to give better convergence, lower delay, and lower computational cost than a comparable FIR subband scheme.<\div>

We propose a new wavelet–based method for image denoising that applies the two dimensions Dual Tree wavelet Transform and adapt thereshold in each local area to obtain better denoised image. Empirical results show that new approach is better than older algorithms. In this paper, the structure of Dual Tree wavelet transform (DTDWT) is modified and Comparison results are also presented.<\div>

In this paper, we present a new channel estimator design of a receiver for the next generation high–speed mobile data communications based on OFDM. First an overview of the OFDM system suitable for mobile communications is described. The effects of non–ideal transmission conditions of the OFDM system including channel estimation errors, symbol timing offset, carrier and sampling clock offset,
phase noise and time selective fading are analyzed. We then propose a new channel estimator design of receiver in which all of these issues relevant to the mobile transmission environment are addressed. Novel techniques for symbol timing and frequency
synchronization are proposed. The architecture of the new subband channel estimator and resulting implementation complexity are then analyzed. The overall performance of the proposed receiver is simulated and evaluated in various channel conditions.<\div>
