In Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) literature, Traditional DEA models do not provide sufficient discrimination between the efficiency of DMUs. Therefore, there are some tools for the improvement of discrimination of DEA models. Selective proportionality is the one of the advanced tools based on selection in proportionality between inputs and outputs. Podinovski first introduced this concept to DEA models
with assumption the convexity of the production possibility set. Hence, this paper describe a new insight of proportionality axiom and shows that the proportionality between inputs and outputs can be controlled in FDH models using a new modeling based on selective proportionality axiom. This paper also, presents a complete LP framework to deal with FDH models based on this concept.<\div>

۲Estimating Confidence Intervals of DEA efficiency in Iranian Gas Preventional Companies using Bootstrapping

This article explores how the smoothed bootstrap method is applied to calculate confidence intervals for efficiency measures are obtained from data envelopment analysis (DEA). The bootstrap procedure is applied on data of Iranian Gas Preventional Companies from year 2006. The main focus is the smoothed homogeneous bootstrap procedure introduced by Simar and Wilson (1998) to implement statistical inference for the original efficiency point estimates. The paper estimates the bias and the confidence interval of the output–based technical efficiency scores with CRS, using the DEAOS Web Service developed by Behin–Cara (2005).<\div>

Trade–offs approach is an advanced tool for the improvement of discrimination of DEA models, which can improve the traditional meaning of efficiency as a radial improvement factor for inputs or outputs. Therfore, the methods for measuring the productivity change of Decision Making Units (DMUs) in multiple time periods which use constant returns to scale (CRS) and variable returns to scale (VRS) technologies, can be improved by the use of trade–offs approach. Hence, this paper redefines Malmquist index based on trade–offs and modifies its decompositions by replacing respectively, VRS and CRS technologies with CRS and Trade–offs technologies. In the presence of this modification, Malmquist index breaks down into the pure efficiency change, the Trade–offs efficiency change, and the technological change.<\div>
