The bending– Torsional flutter characteristics of a swept composite wing containing an arbitrarily mass are presented. The wing performs as a classical beam. The governing equations are determined via Lagrange’s principle. In order to precisely consider the spanwise and chordwise location and the properties of the attached mass, the generalized function theory is used. Unsteady Theodorson aerodynamic theory in time domain, is used. The general laminate composite theory is used for modeling the effects of ply angles on the flutter characteristics. The Ritz method is subsequently applied to convert the partial differential equations into a set of ordinary differential equations. Dirac delta function is used in order to precisely consider the location and properties of the attached mass. Moreover, the numerical results are compared with the published results and excellent agreement is observed. The numerical simulations indicating the significant effects of the sweep angle, external mass parameters such as the mass ratio and the attached locations and the ply angles on the flutter boundaries are presented.<\div>

۲Vibration and Critical Speed of Rotating Functionally Graded Cylindrical Shell Subjected to Axial Loading

In this paper vibration characteristics and critical speed of a rotating functionally graded cylindrical shell under constant axial loads are investigated. The shell dynamical equations are obtained using thin shell theory. The effects of centrifugal and coriolis forces have been incorporated into formulation. These equations are solved using wave propagation approach. Further, analytical results are validated and a goodagreement is found between the present results and those reported in the literature. Also a parametric study is done to analyze the critical speed of the rotating FG cylindrical shell under axial loading<\div>
