Milling is the most practical machining operation for removing excess material to produce a well defined and high quality surface. This paper presents an approach for the determination of the optimal cutting parameters (spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut) and end mill flutes leading to minimum surface roughness in end milling of Glass fiber reinforced plastics)GFRP), it can be clearly seen that a good agreement is observed between the experimental measurements.<\div>

One of the problems faced in turning processes is the elastic deformation of the workpiece due to the cutting forces fesulting in the actual depth of cut being different than the desirable one. In this paper , the problem of determining the workpice elastic deflection is addressed from this point of view : the evaluation of elastic deflection in a cylindrical workpice usint an optimization technique , based on Ant Colony Algorithm (ACO), to optimize the cutting parameters in turning processes . To demonstrate the procedure , reliability and vertification of this approach , an application sample is developed and its results are analyzed for several different production conditions.<\div>

Integration of process planning and production planning functions is necessary to achieve superior overall system performance. This paper proposes a model for the integration of process planning and production planning for turning parts that can be implemented in aggregated production planning (APP). The developed model considers simultaneously the technology–related constraints and shop floor constraint determined by the available time. In this approach, part machining time and cost are new variables for APP. In this model, the maximum depth of cut and feed for each feature was selected with regard to technology constrains and the spindle speed was selected in aggregated productionplanning. The introduction of the overtime in the optimization process allows for the generation of improved planning according to several performance measures. The proposed optimization model is nonlinear, uni–criterion and multi–variable. A numerical example demonstrates the feasibility of applying the proposed model to APP problem.<\div>
