Image fusion is a process of combining two or more images into an image. It can extract features from source images, and provide more information than one image can. In this research, we propose a novel method for multimodality medical image fusion. Low spatial resolution limits the diagnostic potential of brain positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. As a possible remedy for this problem we propose a
technique for the fusion of PET and MR images, which requires for a given patient the PET data and the T1– weighted MR image. Basically, after the registration steps, the high–frequency part of the MR, which would be unrecoverable by the set PET acquisition system is extracted and added to the PET image. This paper introduces new application of the human vision system model in multispectral medical image fusion. The
methodological approaches proposed in this paper result in merged images with improved quality with respect to those obtained by HSI, DWT, wavelet à trous algorithm and wavelet based sharpening methods. Results show proposed method preserves more spectral features with less spatial distortion.<\div>

Visual agnosia (a nerological disease) is the inability of the brain to make sense of normal visual stinulus.It is often due to damage in posterior occipital in the brain. The SPECT image indicates the disease function and has a low spatial resolution so the dimensions of the disease are not clear. in this paper , using new advanced retina based fusion model . the spatial characteristecs that extracted from MRI image is injected to the SPECT image the proposed algorithm combines the advantages of both IHS (Intensity – hue – saturatuin) and retina – inspired model fusion methods to improve the functional and spatial information content . the results show that the fused image is more informative for clinical application.<\div>

۳Medical Image Registration Based on Similarity Measure and Feature Extraction

Medicl images are increasingly being used in healthcare and medical research. There is, consequently, widespread interest in accurately relting information in the different images for diagnosis, treatment and basic science, In thes paper two automated registration algorithms is studied. First method is image registration based on extraction of the most well–known image features–edge and requires no future segmentation. Second method uses a new region–based similarity metric, which enables accurate registration of images of large contrast differences. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate that the algorithm is effective for aligning images from single or multiple imaging modalities without the use of any fiducial markers.<\div>

۴THE EFFECT OF DIFFRENET KIND OF MUSIC AND SILENCES ON ELECTRICAL HEARTWORKING

In this paper heart feature changing which is taken from electrocardiogram (ECG signals) during three stages will be compared with each other. These stages include listening to sedative music, arousal music and a period of complete silence. Observation shows that amplitude of polarization and depolarization can change when different kinds of music are heard. Without considering the type of music, hearing a sound makes heart to beats differently from the silence. Each kind of music influences on heart in different way for instance arousalmusic effect on the maximum of the T wave whereas the sedative music does not. The results imply that the bandwidth of polarization and depolarization of heart rate and amplitude of T wave is increased when music is heard in contrast with silence and finally sound have transit effect on the heart and not stable effect.<\div>

Perception and diagnosis of disorders by usingsingle photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) image isdifficult since this image does not contain anatomicalInformation. In the studies it is tried to make innovation SPECTimage by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and image fusionmethods. So the fused image is obtained involving functional andanatomical information. MRI image shows tissue brain anatomyand it has high spatial resolution without functional information.SPECT shows brain function and it has low spatial resolution.Fusion of SPECT and MRI images leads to a high spatialresolution image. The fused image with desired specificationsconsists in spatial and spectral distortions. Substitution methodssuch as IHS and Multi–resolution fusion methods such as wavelettransform preserve spatial and spectral information respectively.In This article we present a method that preserves both spatialand spectral information well and minimizes distortions of fusedimages relative to other method<\div>

۶A Comparative Study on a Tilt–Integral–Derivative Controller with Proportional–Integral–Derivative Controller for a Pacemaker

The study is done to determine the comparison between proportional–integral–derivative controller (PID controller) and tilt–integral–derivative (TID controller) for cardiac pacemaker systems, which can automatically control the heart rate to accurately track a desired preset profile. These controllers offer good adaption of heart to the physiological needs of the patient. The parameters of the both controllers are tuned by particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm which uses the integral of time square error as a fitness function to be minimized. Simulation results are performed on the developed cardiovascular system of humans and results demonstrate that the TID controllers produces superior control performance than PID controllers. In this paper all simulations were performed in.<\div>

۷MS lesions segmentation using K–medoids and statistical features

Lesions inside white matter of brain are the pathological symbols of MS. These lesions are noticed well in MRI images. Determining and quantitative analysis of these lesions has been an important yet challenging task in recent year. In this paper, we propose a new method for segmenting these lesion in noisy T2–weighted MRI images based on statistical texture features and a variation of conventional k–means clustering, namely, k–medoids clustering algorithm. We compared the performance of our method with two well–known methods in terms of dice metric, specificity and false negative rate (FNR). Results proved outperformance our method in segmenting noisy MRI images.<\div>

۸A new method for edge detection base on Matching pursuit

Edge detection is widely used in image processing, image recognition and computer vision. Tradition edge detection methods have a lot of disadvantages. This paper presents a new edge detection algorithm base on Matching pursuit (MP). Our method has four steps. Firstly, the color image is converted to gray Image. Secondly, the residual part of Matching pursuit algorithm with the wavelet packet dictionary is extracted. Thirdly, the morphology method is applied to remove the additional parts of the previous image and finally, the Ostu’s thresholding method converts image to binary form. We compared our algorithm with the tradition methods like Prewitt, Sobel, Laplasian of Gaussian(LOG) and Canny operators. Results show that our algorithm has high value of Performance parameters such as PR, PSNR and FOM compared to other algorithms.<\div>

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) registration has widespread applications in medical fields. The use of mutual information (MI) is proven to be effective and successful in registration process. In this experiment, the rotation and the translation (RT) transformation is considered to be applied to the pattern image. Optimization algorithms are often used to find the most appropriate registration parameters. The evolutionary genetic algorithm (GA) has a high global search capacity and the search speed and accuracy of the results in this tool are satisfactory in case of the wisely determined cost function<\div>
