the lamellar tearing is current in welded hot rolled structure steels it occurs if welding had been parallel to rolling direction it had shown that the basic causes for occurring lamellar tearing is the existence of elonated non metallic inclusions in steel the procedure and acceptance standards fro evaluating rolled steel plates to assuring freedom from lamination are assessed in SA–435\SA435M standard inspite of observation of lamellar tearing by ultrasonic examination the cause and details about occurrig lamellar tearing had not been significantly assessed in thid study two resistant and susceptible steel plates had been chosen using ultrasonic examination then the microstructural properties of these steel had been compared with another furthermore the types aspect ratio surface fraction and size of nonmetallic inclusion had been significantly assessed and evaluated by ultrasonic results.<\div>

welding is inevitable in construction of bridges marine structures steeples towers and … on the other hand in the welded structures there is a possibility of lamellare tearing occurrence after welding so the assessment of its evaluation seems to be very important lamellar tearing is a type of crack which occures with the reciprocal effect of anistropy in hot rolled and giant stresses o fweld contraction of through thickness direction of steel plates the first ant the most important stage of lamellar tearting occurrence is crack initiation or cavity nucleation which its study seems to be more important in this research the critical stresses of cavity nucleation which is responsible for lamellar tearing occurrence had been caluated using microstructural banding and making tensile apecimens perpendicular to the banding layers.<\div>
