۱Catalytic Oxidation of Volatile Organic Compounds on nano Zeolite Catalysts

In this study, catalysts containing 2.5 wt.% of copper were compared towards toluene total oxidation
using ZSM5 nano– Zeolite and TiO2 (Degussa). A 2.5 wt.% CuHZSM5 was found to be promising catalysts
for this reaction. Copper oxide had a better affinity for zeolite. The performances of Cu based catalyst was
related to oxygen mobility property of the support leading to copper oxide particles easily reducible.
Therefore, 2.5wt% Cu–ZSM5 samples were found to be interesting catalysts for total VOC oxidation.<\div>

۲Investigation of deactivation of Cr– ZSM–5 zeolite during catalytic oxidation of ethyl Acetate in a fixed bed reactor

Cr–modified ZSM–5 zeolites (Si\Al = 14) were prepared by adopting the liquid ion–exchange method with nitrate chrome as Cr precursor and their catalytic performance and deactivation behavior was studied in the oxidation of ethyl acetate. Furthermore, the catalyst has been regenerated several times and showed good regeneration performance. During the oxidation process, the catalytic activity decreases, some of the catalyst pores are blocked and the acid centers are partly covered by coke deposition. The coked versus fresh catalysts have been characterized by XRD, FT–IR and SEM to reveal that the structure of the Cr–ZSM–5 catalyst was unaffected by coke deposition.<\div>
