The main characteristic of today's manufacturing environments is volatility. Under a volatile environment, demand is not stable. It changes from one production period to another.To operate efficiently under such environment, the facilities should be adaptive to the changing production environment. Thissituation forces companies to evaluate and modify their facility layout in periodic fashion. This type of the layout problem iscategorized as a dynamic layout problem. This paper studies anew dynamic facility layout, in which alternative processing routes, production planning and system rearrangement decisionare incorporated. The developed model is a mixed–integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) formulation. A method is used to linearize the non–linear one. This presented is verified by a number of numerical examples.<\div>

۲A Dynamic Stochastic Nonlinear Programming Model for Relief Logistics under Uncertainrty

In this paper, a two–objective dynamic stochastic logistics model in a disaster relief operation is proposed. Prior to the disaster onset, design decisions including the number and location of local distribution centers needed as well as their inventory levels for each type of emergency supply are made. After the disaster onset, the designed network will use to conduct daily operational decisions over a planning horizon. These decisions include emergency supplies allocation among demand points. The first objective function attempts to minimize the expected value of maximum shortages among all affected areas. The second objective function minimizes the sum of the pre– and post–disaster cost. Then, we use ε–constraintmethod to solve our purposed model. A case study is presented to illustrate the potential applicability of our model. The results demonstrate the practicability of the proposed model for disaster planning<\div>
