Geographic information system (GIS) is a powerful tool for petroleum exploration, particularly with regards to exploration mapping. One of the first steps is the creation of reconnaissance maps. Such maps are typically produced from available wells or well layers with size of the well data sets being dependent on the maturity of the area (basin) of interest. The present paper deals with preparation various map by AutoCAD for Asmari reservoirs, determination of the original oil in place (OOIP) and study of eight zones in this reservoir based on petrophysical data of 19 wells in Mansuri Oil field. Applying these processes on each field is helpful in determining the highest potential sections of OOIP. The comparison between above method and traditional one, indicates much better Petrophysical parameters, usage adding up required data in digitized state. A part from that scheduling the reservoir production is another useful result in this method.<\div>

The present paper deals with one of the most serious problems in oil production, that is sour gas (H2S). This gas enters to oil zone from gas cap due to an appreciable pressure gradient that exists between oil and gas cap zones. The contamination of oil zone with sour gas may be due to lower layers that are interconnected with reservoir or it can be from gas injection wells also. Associated with oil, because of containing various kinds of ions and corrosive materials, it causes very dangerous problems on well equipment, well head, pipe line, etc. Sour gas also can cause corrosion problems and depreciation on the equipment. If the sour gas treatment is not sufficient, then it is necessary to decrease oil production which is not reasonable economically.The main objective of present research work is to investigate the effective parameters on sour gas creation such as pressure drop, permeability and fractures in Marun Oil Field. Hence the usual methods for prevention, such as microbial action, balanced production and sweet gas injection will be explained. Finally the effect of sour gas in the sixth sector of Marun oil field and methods for prevention of this problem has been discussed here<\div>
