In plants with many numbers of state variables,designing high order observer is not practical, thereupon many researches have done in such as these systems for stateestimation. State estimation when exist unknown inputs is of considerable importance problem because in practice there aremany situations where cannot prevent plant disturbance presence or some of inputs are inaccessible. In this paper, a simple approach for decentralized state estimation in largescale plants with known and unknown inputs is proposed that it builds a reduced order local observer with unknown input. Inthis method, a large scale dynamical system decomposed into a number of interconnected subsystems. We consider theinterconnection affects among the subsystems as unknown inputs. At the end, simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the method.<\div>

This paper is concerned with the unknown input observer design for linear time–delay systems. Based on separating state estimation error from unknown inputs that maybe acting on the system, a different approach by using straightforward matrix equations is provided. Furthermore,necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of suchobservers are well formulated. The developments are simple and direct compared to other approaches, so it is morepractical. To illustrate the feasibility and capability of the proposed solution, two 3–rd order numerical examples arepresented.<\div>
