۱Top down strategy for renewable energy investment: sizing methodologies and Integrated Renewable Energy System models

In this paper, we present a top down strategy for renewable energy investment. The proposed approach is a three–step framework. By applying the approach, renewable energyglobal market leaders and trends will be identified and analyzed that included: (1) economics and renewable energy policy, (2) specific renewable energy sectors that presents the most attractiveinvestment opportunity, (3) and finally the most promising renewable energy investment vehiclesfor investors. Other stakeholders can also use the developed framework, such as consumers and policymakers, to make socio–economic decisions and assess renewable energy investments. This paper presents an extensive review on various issues related to Integrated Renewable EnergySystem (IRES) based power generation. Issues related to integration configurations, storage options, sizing methodologies and system control for energy flow management are discussed in detail<\div>

۲The Effects of Economic Sanctions on Target Countries Over Time Through Mathematical Models and Decision Making

This study investigates the impact of economic and political sanctions on Governments over time. Some economics argue that it takes time to convince the sanction target. Others stress that economic adjustment will reduce incentives to comply. When it comes to international economic sanctions, the most frequent goal is regime change and democratization. Yet, past experiences suggest that such sanctions are often ineffective; moreover, quite paradoxically, targeted regimes tend to respond with policies that amplify the sanctions' harmful effects. These governments try to contain potential problems caused by sanctions by using three types of political rhetoric: appeasement, backlash, and surveillance. Negative sanctions cause the regime to use appeasement strategies (or calls for reforms and internal changes). It tends to use backlash rhetoric (or blaming the sanctioning powers) in response to, interestingly, positive sanctions. Surveillance rhetoric or the call for internal vigilance against enemies. This paper also offers a political–economy model by using mathematical formulas which provides an explanation for these observations. As a result, we conclude if governments utilize its own economic opportunities, there is a big chance that sanctions fail.<\div>

۳Ranking of Suitable Renewable Energy Location Using AHP Method and Scoring Systems with Sustainable Development Perspective

With respect to the limited reservoirs of fossil energy and a sudden increase in the level of energy consumption, a new approach regardingrenewable energies and locating the best sites of those renewable energies is required in close future. Since the reliability on fossil energies is diminished, selecting a sustainable energy is needed in countries located in arid or semi–arid region including Iran because of their high potential in this category. Thus, in this paper, we try to findthe most applicable renewable energy site in Isfahan city which is one of the driest regions in Iran using the AHP and the location scoringmethod. To reach that goal, after introducing Biogas, Biomass & wind energy as our selected choices in continuing our work on them, weutilized AHP method in order to be able to select the best renewable energy in Isfahan in which could be applicable. Then, we utilized theobtained data for further consideration on locating the best region for the selected renewable energy in Isfahan. Subsequently, with using thelocation scoring method, we determine which region could be the best place for that renewable energy facility. However, this point needs to be mentioned that in our paper, the sustainable development prospective in scoring the facility is considered rather than the economic one.<\div>
