though more than 60 years have passed after the first hydraulic fracturing in US it is still a new and not – well – understood operation in some parts of the globe like iran acid fracturing is used mostly in carbonate formations where the acid etches the fracture faces , thus making a high conductivity passage for fluid to move to the wellbore. there cases of acid fracturing are recorded in the history of iranian oil industry.the status of the candidate selection of these wells is discussed firstly in this paper . it is important to choose appropriate wells for such an expensive stimulation practice. then the effects of fracturing on the production performance ,i.e. production rate , of these wells are considered. a successful treatment should improve the productivity of the well . the available build–up tests are also investigated to diagnose any induced fracture in the formation. fracturing the formation changes the flow regime around the wellbore and this change can be distinguished through analyzing pressure transient testing data.<\div>

sand production is one of the major concerns associated with oil\ gas production in most of the iranian sandstone reservoirs. Despite different sand control scenarios may exist but one of the key challenges is how to achieve the best and sand control technique for different wells in iranian reservoirs. choosing the best scenario requires an integrated approach to establish reliable practices for collecting , tracking and sharing reliability, success and failure information. in this paper all the cited information required for sand control are discussed in details . the paper also provides a review of past industry attempts to follow sand control completion system reliability . the final objectives of this work are to assist the petroleum industry in improving sand control completion service life improving the basis for selecting sand control system and equipments and better realizing the full potential of sand control completion technologies.<\div>
