OLI scalechem software predicts mineral scaling potentials of 54 solids for virtually and oil and gas well and processing facility in the world. Calculation types include a generalized scale scenario for well profiles; mixing waters to find safe non–scaling ratios; reservoir saturation to simulation downhole conditions ; and facilities with simple mix and seprate abilities to simulate collection and disposal. output includes the thermodynamic scale tendencies for all solids in the model. scalechem is predictive up to 600F , 22000 psi , and 700000 ppm TDS. thus , almost any production operation can be modeled. there are several advantages over other commercially available scaling software: 1) by including all brines in the calculations , the well and processing facility are modeled more accurately; 20 scaling potential and scale builup are reported at each calculation point ; 30 automatic correction of PH and charge balance, therefore the chance of unexpected problems from bad water analyses decreases.<\div>

۲A New Approach to Artificial Lift Selection

When reservoir pressure is not sufficient to sustain the flow of oil to the surface at adequate rates, natural flow must be aided bye artificial lift. In fact artificial lift methods increase the well production long life. The decision of which artificial lift method to use is very important to the long–term profitability of the field. An improper selection of artificial lift can reduce production and increase the operating cost substantially. Once a decision has been made on the type to install on a well, it can be rarely altered whether or not the method selected was and still is the optimal for the existing conditions.This paper presents the screening criteria on the different artificial lift techniques and selection guide. Selection of artificial lift is based on production, reservoir and well constrains, produced fluid properties and surface infrastructures. To choose a appropriate method, we produce software with V.B.NET code. This software involves 28 parameters in various condition and be able to arrange methods according to best results<\div>

۳On The Reliability of Flat Space Structures with Initial Imperfections

The existence of initial imperfections in manufacturing or assemblage of real structures is inevitable. Many of these imperfections in double–layer space structures, such as the curvature and length imperfections, are random in nature. In this paper, the effect of initial curvature imperfection in the load carrying capacity of double–layer space structures is investigated. For this purpose, three different types of supports are considered. The curvature imperfection is considered as a random number by gamma distribution. The probabilistic model is used to distribute the random imperfections among all members of the structure. The collapse behavior and the ultimate capacity of the considered structures are determined using nonlinear analysis and this procedure is repeated by Monte Carlo simulation method. Finally, the reliability of structures is determined. The results show that the collapse behavior of double–layer grid space structures arehighly sensitive to the random distribution of initial imperfections<\div>
