This paper present a theoretical investigation of Transverse vibrations of thin flat isotropic elastic super–elliptical plates under uniformly distributed in–plane loads and resting on a twoparameter Winkler–Pasternak foundation. Various plate shapes ranging from an ellipse to a rectangle with rounded corners are considered. The Galerkin procedure is utilized, where thedisplacement amplitude is approximated by polynomial expressions in the Cartesian coordinates.The effects of aspect ratio, super–elliptical powers and elastic foundation in the presence of in–plane loads are examined in detail. The frequency parameters obtained are presented also the validity of results is established and shown good agreements with available results in the literature.<\div>
