Nano crystalline Silicalite–1 (crystal size in the range of 50–150 nm) has been synthesized in only 72 h. by
crystallization of clear homogeneous synthesis mixtures using reflux technique. Porous α–alumina supports
were seeded with colloidal TPA–silicslite–1 nano crystals and calcined. The supports were treated in a
solution to grow the seed nano crystals into zsm–5 films. The membranes were characterized by using
scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X–ray diffraction (XRD).<\div>

۲Application of ED and EDI Processes in NaOH recovery from Merox spent caustic waste

In this research work recovery of sodium hydroxide from waste stream of Merox process by two different processes of electrodialysis (ED) and electrodeionization (EDI) was studied. Effects of applied voltage and feed flow rate on NaOH recovery were investigated. The separation performance was evaluated in terms of sodium ion transport and electricity consumption. The obtained results showed that the percentage recovery of sodium hydroxide increased with the enhancement of the applied voltage and simultaneously the economy of processes decreased. Also, comparison between results of two processes showed that electrodeionization was more successful for recovery of NaOH from waste stream of mercaptan removal unit at suitable condition. High NaOH recovery was obtained by the electrodeionization at about 85%.<\div>

The recovery of NaOH from the waste stream of Merox process containing metallic salts (Na2S, Na2CO3 and NaOH) was achieved by the electrodialysis (ED) process with two different configurations of two and three–compartment cell in batch mode. In the experiments, base solution was used as catholyte and an acid solution were used as an anolyte. The effects of feed flow rate, applied voltage and feed concentration on the NaOH recovery were investigated and discussed. The separation performance was evaluated in terms of sodium ion transfer and electricity consumption. The obtained results showed that electrodialysis seems to be an applicable method for the recovery of NaOH from waste stream of Merox process at suitable conditions. High NaOH recovery was obtained by the electrodialysis at about 75%.<\div>

۴artificial neural network for modeling of OCM reaction

In this article, artificial neural network was used for modeling oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) over Mn\Na2WO4\SiO2 catalyst. A multilayer perceptron was used for simulating the relations between process operating conditions such as temperature, gas hourly space velocity(GHSV), CH4\O2 ratio and diluents gas (mol% N2) and aspects of catalytic performance including conversion of methane, C2 products selectivity, yield of C2 and C2H4\C2H6 ratio. In order to prevent network complexity, principal component analysis method was used and the numbers of output parameters were reduced from 4 to 2. For the first output and the second output, there were optimum network with 4–9–1 (one hidden layer which includes 9 neurons) topology and 4–6–1 (one hidden layer which includes 6 neurons) topology prepared, respectively.<\div>

۵Prediction of steam distillation efficiency during steam injection process by Artificial Neural Network

Steam distillation mechanism is one of the important and effective mechanisms during steam injection process in fractured heavy oil. Due to its important effect in oil recovery, several attempts have been made to simulate this process experimentally and theoretically. Because of limitations in implementing experiments, various models have been studied to predict the distillation effect with minimum entry parameters. So, in this study, a Multi–Layer Perceptron(MLP) neural network is used as an effective method to simulate the distillate recovery, so that the parameters such as API, viscosity, characterization factor and steam distillation factor are the input parameters and distillate yield is the output of the model. After gathering our data from theliterature, 77 data of 128 input data were used for training, 33 data for testing, and 18 data for cross validation. Then, the results of one–layer and two–layer networks with various neurons were compared to the experimental data and other models.<\div>

۶Effect of additives on the antiknock properties and Reid vapor pressure of gasoline

The performance of two new oxygenated additives, ethyl acetate and methyl acetate was evaluated on the Reid vapor pressure (RVP),density and Research octane number (RON) of two types of gasoline with different chemical compositions and well defined characteristics (density, volatility and octane numbers). The measured RON and RVP values were compared with those of ethanol and MTBE additives. The gasolines were blended with four different percentages (v\v) of ethyl acetate and methyl acetate. The octane rating of gasoline was found to increase continuously and linearly with the addition of the oxygenated compounds and RVP remain unchanged with the addition of the oxygenated compounds.<\div>
