Aspects of revolution of vorticity behind a finite plunging wing are discussed based on numerical method. The effect of tip vortices on the structure of the flow behind the oscillating wing is specially, of particular interest. The vortex shedding and also aerodynamic characteristics were analyzed in 2D and 3D cases of a wing, with the section of NACA 0012. Moreover the shedding in the different span wise slices was investigated. The results suggest that, toward the wing tip, three dimensional effects are more significant. Measurements reveal that flow morphology is highly complex and three dimensional, which was not shown in any of the previous 2D studies<\div>
