The major aim of this study was to make a connection between the task–based methodof language teaching in practical translation classrooms following the guidelines laid downby scholars in the fields of teaching and translation. A questionnaire designed by choosing oftwo paragraphs of the story The Picture of Dorian Gray for 50 students of an institute inYazd, Applying traditional method of translation and TBLT. , it can be said that the taskbasedteaching method and group work are more applicable in contrasted with the traditionalone. Furthermore, It can create more enthusiasm in learners, help them to learn thegrammatical structures better, and assist them to improve their speaking ability.<\div>
