۱Recovery of Platinum and Rhenium from the Spent Aromatization Catalyst of Naphta Using the Ion Exchange Method

This paper presents the recovery of the noble metals, platinum and rhenium from the spent aromatization catalyst of naphta using anion exchange resins. When the catalyst is solved in a mixture of sulphuric acid and aqua regia , the produced solution is passed through the columns which contain the ion exchange resins . The platinum and rhenium that exist in the solution are adsorbed on the resin and then the resin is washed by the means of a suitable acid and platinum and rhenium are desorbed from resin. The different parameters which affect the process of desorbtion and adsorption are also considered and the best condition for the maximum efficiency is determined. The efficiency has been 100 % in the adsorption process and over 95 % in the desorbtion process.<\div>

۲Design and Implementation of a Micro Reactor for Evaluation of Zeolite Catalyst Performance

Micro reactor systems are one of the most common equipment for determining the selectivity of catalysts which are used in fluidized catalytic cracking process in refinery. Up to now lots of researches have been conducted on constructing and improving these systems. In this study, a micro reactor system was designed and implemented and cumene was used as its feed. This system was utilized to examine industrial Abadan refinery catalyst activity and some samples of pure HX and HY zeolites at the temperature of 350–550oC. The main advantage of this system is its simple application, the acceptable accuracy and its economic price of constructing in comparison with commercial micro activity testing setups.<\div>
