A widely used hazard identification technique within the process industry is hazard and operability study (HAZOP). The technique was developed by ICI in the 1960s, and has been standardized for use in continuous manufacturing plants. HAZOP seeks to identify the hazard or operating consequences arising from the deviation. In petrochemical industries, benzene and toluene (BT) are separated from non–aromatics in a separation process that includes an extractive distillation column as a main part. This paper presents an introduction to HAZOP study and its related deviations then we evaluate the hazard of BT extraction unit for more realization. All of the deviations are considered and the recommendations are suggested to reduce the likelihood of consequences mostly related to the human factors<\div>

۲EXTENSION OF CPA EOS TO NFM–PENTANE & NFM–CYCLOALKANES

In our previous work, vapour–liquid phase equilibrium of N–formylmorpholine (NFM) mixtures was presented with cubic–plus–association equation of state (CPA). In this work, we used the binary liquid–liquid equilibrium data including N–Formylmorpholine (NFM), pentane and cycloalkanes and then, we proposed an association scheme that satisfied the best results for modelling. The properties considered are liquid–liquid temperature calculation in LLE. It is shown that the CPA model prdicted thermoddynamic properties very good and the best results are obtained with 4C & 2B association schemes, when 4C sceme performed better. Based on our results, we have choosen 4C association scheme as an assigned type for NFM molecule.<\div>
